CAPE WINELANDS WALK The Cape Winelands region is regarded as one of the most beautiful parts of South Africa - while the area between Somerset West and Stellenbosch is seen as the jewel in the crown. The Cape Winelands Walk offers an opportunity to experience the splendour of distinctive and spectacular countryside first-hand, and in depth. Your journey will take you through pristine “fynbos”. You will walk along private and secure footpaths that find their way through some of South Africa’s most esteemed wine estates - through an undulating and spectacularly varied countryside that will reveal vista upon breathtaking vista. Duration : there is a 7day option (100km)or a 4day(45km) option. The accommodation is in top quality guest houses. You only carry a day pack, as your luggage is portered to each guest house during the trip. |

TABLE MOUNTAIN -KIRSTENBOSCH TRAIL Wake up on Table Mountain!!! Restore your energies – re-balance body, mind and soul – relax and unwind... Enjoy an overnight getaway on the iconic Table Mountain. Be surrounded by beautiful fynbos, valleys, mountain streams and exquisite views of the Mother City. We hike up Table Mountain to reach the highest point (Maclears Beacon), where we enjoy lunch overlooking Cape Town City Centre and some historical landmarks; Table Bay and Robben Island; the Cape Flats; False Bay; the Twelve Apostles (peaks) and Camps Bay. The vista also includes views of Lion’s Head and Devil’s Peak nearby with the imposing spires of the Drakenstein Mountains in the distance. From here we have a gentle walk to the historic reservoirs and visit the Waterwoks Museum on the back table. Our resting place is nearby overlooking Kirstenbosch and Southern Suburbs. Unwind and enjoy a barbeque (braai) with the city at your feet and the stars as your canopy. Absorb the tranquil atmosphere and breathe in the fresh mountain air. The accommodation is a fully equipped cottage with all necessary facilities. In the morning we hike down Skeleton Gorge where the fynbos gradually gives way to magical lush indigenous forests which provide ample shade. This route takes us down into Kirstenbosch Botanicle Gardens renowned for its spectacular array of indigenous plants. Take time to enjoy your surrounds in this exquisite botanical garden. |

TABLE MOUNTAIN / PENINSULA TRAIL (HOERIKWAGGO TRAIL) There are various combinations of this hike, but spending at least one night in an overnight camp is recommended. Technically this hike enables you to walk from the Table Mountain cable station to Cape Point. |

TENTED CAMPS The beautiful, rustic but luxurious camps, cater for both local and international visitors, and are built from timber felled and milled in the Table Mountain National Park. Following the principle of touching the earth lightly, only previously damaged sites were selected, and the design ensures minimum environmental impact. Hot water, open fires, and fully equipped kitchens are available. Hikers are to provide their own bedding and towels. Sleeping Bags are available to rent on request. |
