SAFARI
We leave Cape Town City Center quite early for a scenic drive of approximately one hour. The route takes the highway on the N1 in a northerly direction to eventually pass through the very famous wine region of Paarl before we reach the beautiful Drakenstein Mountain range (DuToitskloof Pass) . This journey was cut 40 minutes shorter by the introduction of the Hugenout Tunnel about 20 years ago. When we reach the other side of the tunnel you will experience the most beautiful mountains(phenomenal waterfalls after even a little bit of rain. We carry on for about 20 min until we reach the Brandy Capital, Worcester were we turn off to the Game reserve nestled between beautiful mountains.Fairy Glen Private Game Reserve is tucked away at the foot of the world famous Brandwacht Mountains. A very peaceful and rustic environment. This African Big 5 Game Reserve surrounded by protea's and fynbos vegetation not only offers game drives and bush safaris but is also home to an African Khoisan Bushmen rock art heritage site dating back some 6000 years.
Fairy Glen Private Game Reserve not only hosts Cape Town's nearest Big 5 but also species like Blue wildebeest, giraffes, eland, the endangered bontebok, zebras, lynx, oryx and other smaller buck species and a big variety of African bird species like the endangered Black Eagle better known as the Aquila.
You will arrive and start off with a full course buffet breakfast in the African style restaurant.
