This hike follows the route discovered by the original explorers to the top of Table Mountain (Platteklip Gorge). This is the shortest climb to the summit and is quite steep, but not technically challenging.

For those more adventurous and not scared of heights we hike up India Venster Trail. Both trails offers spectacular views all the way to the top with Devil’s Peak and Lion’s Head flanking the mountain on either side.

Take time to marvel at the views over Table Bay, Robben Island, Signal Hill and the City of Cape Town while also admiring the beautiful fynbos vegetation and overwhelming rock formations. Table Mountain stands at 1086m above sea level.

Itinerary

07h00 - Pick up from your hotel. 07h30 - Start hiking from the base of Table Mountain. Once you reach the summit, enjoy a well deserved break and take in the stunning views. A 15 minute walks takes you to the upper cable station. Descend via cable way. 12h30 - Arrive back at your hotel.
